Ambien, a prescription medication indicated in the treatment of insomnia, has been on the market since 2007. It joined many other prescription medications available for the treatment of insomnia. Since it was approved millions of prescriptions have been written each year for the medication. The reason that this medication is so popular is that Ambien is different than many of the other medications on the market.
